Supplier Invoice Reading: Tips for Speeding Up Stock Entry with AI
Practical tips to improve AI invoice reading accuracy — from photo quality to the approval process.
Accurate scanning = accurate results
The quality of AI invoice reading depends on the quality of the input. Place the invoice on a flat surface, photograph it in good light, and avoid shadows and creases. If a PDF is available, uploading the PDF instead of a photo always gives more accurate results.
Don't skip the approval step
AI can achieve 95% accuracy; the remaining 5% may be critical errors. Check every invoice on the approval screen. In particular, verify discounted lines and VAT-inclusive/exclusive amounts.
Supplier matching
The supplier's tax ID/national ID (VKN/TCKN) on the invoice must match the supplier card in the system. Set up your supplier cards completely on first use; automatic matching will speed up on subsequent invoices.
